🚫 When RISE Might Not Be a Fit
If you’re an advanced player primarily seeking:
Championship runs every weekend,
Frequent out-of-town tournaments and top-level competition,
Rosters of only advanced teammates, or
Immediate college/D1 exposure,
RISE may not be the best match. Our teams prioritize long-term development over short-term trophies.
Our teams are primarily made up of players who:
Play for their middle school and high school teams,
Want to develop skills, confidence, and discipline,
And may or may not continue basketball after high school.

❓ FAQs
How are players placed on teams?
We evaluate players every time they’re in the gym (and even how they carry themselves off the court). New players attend assessments or pre-season training so we can place them appropriately. We collaborate as a staff to build rosters by similar skill level and experience—age is considered, but skill fit comes first.
What’s the cost to join a team?
Season fee is $980 + sales tax, plus tournament/league fees and spectator admission. A full price breakdown appears in the TeamSnap registration before checkout.
How far do teams travel?
Most events are local (Albuquerque/Bernalillo). We occasionally travel to Santa Fe, El Paso, and Denver for regional competition.
Can my child play other sports while on a RISE team?
Yes. Participate in what you’re available for—practices and games. Please mark availability in TeamSnap so coaches can plan when you’ll miss specific events.
What’s the commitment level?
Flexible. You select the events you’re available for; we plan around your TeamSnap availability.
