Jules Montgomery
Founder of RISE Basketball School, Jules Montgomery is a lifelong student of the game who brings professional experience, leadership, and vision to every athlete he mentors. Originally from California, Jules played Division I college basketball before continuing his career overseas in places like Malta, China, and Mexico. After years of competing at a high level, he returned home with a clear mission: to build a development system that helps young players grow both on and off the court.

Zyann Beard
Zyann Beard is a former RISE player and coach who now serves as our RISE Assistant Manager, embodying the growth and commitment that define the program. She’s currently pursuing a Business degree at the University of New Mexico, while continuing to impact athletes through her leadership and coaching. With firsthand experience on both sides of RISE, Zyann has been a natural fit in her role—leading our sales department and wearing many hats to help the organization operate at a high level.

Josh Holmes
A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Josh Holmes brings professional playing experience and a deep passion for player development to RISE. A standout from Volcano Vista High School, he went on to play for the NM Bullsnakes and NM Bluetails before competing internationally in Mexico’s top tournament circuits. Known for his efficient scoring, defensive intensity, and leadership, Josh now focuses on mentoring young athletes and helping them grow both on and off the court.

The best place to start is with a Player Evaluation. A RISE coach will assess your player and recommend the Development League, Tournament Team, Group Training, or Private Training.

Yes. A Player Evaluation is required before joining the Development League, Group Training, or being considered for a Tournament Team.

The evaluation costs $29 and lasts 30 minutes. Coaches assess basketball skills, athletic movement, confidence, basketball IQ, and overall game readiness.

RISE offers basketball programs for players ages 7–17, from beginners learning the fundamentals to experienced players preparing for AAU competition.

Placement is based on skill, experience, confidence, physical development, basketball IQ, and game readiness—not age or grade alone.

The $200 monthly membership includes eight one-hour skill-development sessions and two organized 4v4 game days. Training is available Monday through Friday, and each session is limited to 12 players.

No. Development League players gain game experience through in-house 4v4 games. They do not participate in local or travel tournaments.

The Development League is a monthly membership that includes eight training sessions and two 4v4 game days. Group Training costs $30 per session with no monthly commitment and does not include games.

Tournament Team membership is $250 per month. A two-set uniform package costs $100, and tournament fees are approximately $50–$75 per event.
